What’s your favorite breakfast food? Your father’s Sunday morning pancakes? Or your own secret recipe for biscuits and gravy? Some people like the special occasion meals: waffles topped with a scoop of ice cream or a scone packed with chocolate and caramel. Regardless of the breakfast, there’s a better way: cannabis for breakfast!

As with cannabis consumption methods generally, cannabis breakfast comes in a variety of styles and with a range of THC or CBD levels. For instance, you can find cannabis oils for cooking eggs and even cannabis-infused taco shells for a morning breakfast wrap. But if you’re using cannabis to help you focus throughout the day, then you may be more interested having your cannabis breakfast to go.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you’re including cannabis, then there’s even more truth to that!

Here are two special recipes for you to have a cannabis breakfast on the go.

These no-bake bars are good at any time of day for appetite or pain. The hearty oats, Rice Krispies, and tasty extras make a delicious and filling treat. A THC-heavy infusion can help stem anxiety and relieve stress at the same time.

According to research, patients with anxiety who were administered Nabilone (a synthetic cannabinoid more often used to treat nausea and vomiting in cancer patients, and other gut issues like inflammatory bowel disease) over a 28-day period, experienced significant improvements in their anxiety. Likewise, Scarante et al. noted that “injections of THC into the ventral hippocampus or prefrontal cortex induce anxiolytic- and anxiogenic-like effects at low and high doses”. In other words, a diet including THC helps people to reduce their stress and anxiety. And adding in this no-bake cannabis granola bar is a well-rounded way to include THC in your diet.

A CBD bar like this is perfect to help settle an upset stomach. For people who suffer from stomach inflammation, eating can cause even more pain. However, with a potent dose of CBD, it’s easier to digest and appease your appetite. That’s because cannabis treats inflammatory bowel disease better than traditional treatment methods.

IBD is a serious disease with a relatively high morbidity rate. The lack of valuable medicine in the conventional marketplace has made this abundantly clear. The steroids and immunosuppressants currently used to treat IBD are rarely a viable option. A 2016 study in Gastroenterology and Hepatology outlined the uses of cannabis for IBD. The researchers said, “a significant portion of IBD patients, particularly those with severe disease, use cannabis to relieve symptoms of pain, nausea, and appetite and to improve their overall mood.” This is exactly what is needed for breakfast.

Is there a best practice for a cannabis-infused breakfast on the go? There’s no reason you can’t mix and match when you’re considering how to eat your cannabis for breakfast. One morning, when your stomach hurts, you can use a pure CBD cereal bar to reduce the inflammation. Another morning, when you’re overwhelmed with the day’s schedule, you can use a full spectrum cereal bar to help relax your nerves without losing your focus.

If you like these recipes, make sure you share them with your friends; they’re hungry!
