If you are not able to attend during the live event, still register and you will be able to access it ‘on-demand’ at your convenience.

Date: Monday, September 23
Time: 2:30 PM EST / 11:30 PST

Join our panel of physicians and cannabis experts as we explore the therapeutic value of the cannabis plant. From basic botany to current research and accepted practices, this webinar will touch on the key issues of medical cannabis today. How does it work? Is cannabis safe? And how to talk to your doctor. At the end, you get a chance to ask our experts the questions that are most important to you.

Key Learning Objectives:

a) How does Medical Cannabis Work? An overview of the pharmacology of cannabis including, cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids.

b) How is Medical Cannabis Consumed? There are many ways to take cannabis, and this discussion will help you choose which is best for you.  It can be smoked, vaped, taken using a pipe or bong. Some patients consume as an edible or even use a lotion or cream. For those most comfortable with the format they are accustomed to, capsules are also available. Each method has its pros and cons, and our RxLeaf panel will inform you about these based on their patient experience.

c) Is Medical Cannabis Safe? Is medical cannabis the “wonder drug” that many people claim it to be?  Has the effectiveness of medical cannabis been proven?  What conditions is it useful for?  Is cannabis addictive?  What is proper dosing?  How does cannabis interact with other medication?

d) Talking with Your Doctor. Our panel will discuss how to approach your physician so that he or she can best assist you in accessing the benefits of medical cannabis.
